What MISSION stores

We store your username, display name, optional bio, password hash and recovery-key hash. Passwords and recovery keys are not stored in readable form. If you use the optional legacy ChatGPT login, that service provides an account identifier and email to identify your existing account.

We also store the communities you create or join, missions, requests, offers, conversations, reports and completed game journeys. We use these records to provide the features you choose and to protect the service against abuse.

Your photos

Profile photos and community covers are optional and public. Images are resized and converted before upload; location and other photo metadata are removed. You can replace or remove a photo in Account or the community page. Replaced and deleted images stop being available at their old address. Only upload photos you have the right to share.

Who can see what

Community names, descriptions, member display names and support requests are public. Do not post addresses, documents, financial details or other sensitive information. Personal missions are visible to you; the destination and needs help recommend communities. A request you choose to publish is public.

Help offers and conversations are accessible to the participants. The MISSION team may review reported content. A community steward can review reports about requests in their community. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

Storage and service providers

MISSION is operated by Giacomo Battistelli as an early-stage community project. Hosting and database services are provided through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Data may be processed where those providers operate. Browser installation stores only public application files and the standalone game for offline use, not your private messages or account responses.

Cookies and retention

A necessary secure cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Signing out removes that session. We do not add advertising or analytics cookies. Rate-limit counters use hashed keys and are kept briefly to prevent repeated abuse. Account records remain until you delete them; temporary game sessions expire after one day and are cleaned during later play.

Control your account

In Account you can change your display name and bio, download your data, change your password and permanently delete your account. Deletion removes your missions, requests, offers, messages and game records. Communities with other members pass to another member. Reports may remain without your account identifier so concerns can be reviewed. Service-provider backup retention follows their policies.

Contact and requests

Use Contact & support in the site footer to send the MISSION team a question or a data request. For access recovery, use your personal recovery key. Keep this key private: the team cannot retrieve your password or key. Where applicable you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or object to processing, and contact your local data protection authority.

Adults only

This beta is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not request precise location or collect passport or identity documents.
